Artist's Comments

Meh a piece to sell at the art show at A-kon. Also an excuse to work on my lack-of-watercolor-skills.

Anywho, Organization XIII fanart is fun fun. I know these boys are popular these days... and um, let's just say the odd looking Kingdom Keyblade is just a case of artistic liscense and leave it as that. Roxas is holding the blue crystal he got from the trophy... was gonna do a cool lighting effect from it but I lack the watercolor skills to manage that one. ^^;

I use Winsor and Newton watercolors.. they're pretty damn affordable and work quite nicely.
:iconravenfan247:
hmm.. maybe i'll try those, thanks for the tip!

I find a good way to make watercolor look pretty good without too much stress is lay on a solid layer of one color... really thinned out with a lot of water and start addind the paint darker in the areas that you want shadow while it's still wet and can blend well.
:iconkazenokisara:
ahh... one of these days I'm gonna try that.. thanks!! *glomp* ^__^
